I'm also tempted by the bluetooth kit but i'm a little concerned about extra rattles etc, god knows i've got plenty already.

It is strange you should mention rattles.
I had a couple behind the speedo binnacle etc.
But once Darren fitted my RNS and Bluetooth kit, they all disappeared.

Hmm, might be worth getting it fitted just to get rid of a couple of em! is the mic in the overhead bit? and does it take much trim removal to get there?
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

Headlining and A pillar trim has to be released but not removed. Darren did this perfectly with no damage. He is very precise with his work. Highly recommended.

Cheers Herbie. I'm tempted to sell my Fiscon and get one of those as sometimes my call list doesn't get populated on the RNS which is annoying. Although my voice button on the steering wheel works to answer and drop calls.

Go for it p3. It's simply brilliant.

Did you get the newer VW one?

I don't have the latest one which shows text messages. But it does everything else perfectly. Voice control etc
In short, I don't have this one.

Thanks Darren for supplying me with the 3C8035730A BT kit.  Installed it last weekend and it works like a dream with my Samsung g600. However, after an autoscan with VCDS it found 10 faults.CAN gateway 5 faults and Telephone 5 faults probably down to incorrectly coded control modules. My codings are CAN-EDA87F06400612000003.Telephone-020000000000000000000000. Can you throw any light on the codings. It looks like the Telephone module is coded for a charging cradle.

Hi Darren    After playing around with the Telephone module coding, although I did not try every combination,I ended up with-

020000000100000000010000   This cleared all the CAN GATEWAY faults and left only 2 TELEPHONE faults-

1.Cellular Antenna    2.Control Module for Cellular Telephone

I'm quite happy to leave these unless some one else knows a different coding. Just one more thing, the mic button on the steering wheel
only enables voice control for the Telephone, where as the voice button on the RNS510 will enable voice control for Radio,Nav and
Telephone. Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

                 Thanks Rob.

You need to go into the module 16 Steering wheel and change the 5 to a 7 or if you have dsg then it needs to be an 8, this will enable push to talk(voice control) on the RNS510

This is the coding for that module mate so will give you some clear idea of what needs to be set, some of them I haven't got a clue.

Thanks Darren for the telephone coding list,it came in very useful, so much so that I was able to clear all the fault codes. The coding I used was-

020000010100010000010100. However,I am still unable to use the Mic button to control ALL voice control functions,it will only operate voice for

the Telephone, although the voice button on the RNS510 will control radio, nav and telephone. The steering wheel coding is 0001802(dsg).

Cheers Rob.

Hello Darren,

Sorry to be a pain (emailed you this morning - but noticed that you were logged on) just wondering if you have any more Bluetooth units left for sell and fitting?  my mate is placing an order on a bluetooth kit with his dealer tomorrow, was considering joining him - but would have to fit myself, would prob. screw it up... so would much prefer to get one from you and ask you to fit as well...
