I was there as well.  The Mk2 was there so "the shamed" could put their Mk3's in it.

haha, you dont need to hide your mk2`s , the knackered engine and plumes of smoke usually does that  :wink: :grin: :grin:, heres a pic of a mk2, people thought he was doing a burnout, it was actually being checked by vosa for emissions  :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

You dont see the whole picture there Boyo.  If you see the video, its actually the shockwave produced as the car hits the sound barrier.  The boot is open as its acts as an air brake.  :nerd:

P.S.

You won't see the other MK3 owners standing up for themselves, because just like the woman with two black eyes.... :grin: :grin:

ive had about 4 mk2 gti`s and 2 mk3 vr6`s,and as much as i loved driving the mk2s,i have to say the vr6`s make the mk2s feel lame. :D

I wouldn't go that far. Granted it makes a nice noise, but it's far TOO HEAVY in a Mk2.  Lots of grunt, but doesn't handle well.  The majority of informed Mk2 owners wouln't have it.
