I started a thread about VW Assistance some time ago.
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=164179.0All I was picked up on was the cost aspect but the reason I started the thread was because of the inconsistancy of their admin. The service itself is very good (or was in 2007 when I last used it) but the system behind it, which is probably the VW run bit, is crap.
Still £144 for two years isn't bad value. I let mine slip though as I already have multi car breakdown cover for my old banger daily runabout which is hopefully more likely to need it.
