Dunno about bumpers but there must be millions of small ones knocking about, with the number of big bumper conversions!!

Needless to say the insurance company wants to write his car off....

So we have gone for another quote at Volkskraft...

No wonder Insurance is so dear when they want £850.00 for fitting & painting a wing.... RIP OFF!!

Basically it was priced just to get the car off the road.... example, a couple of weeks ago, I fitted a new N/S front wing to a 56 plate Audi A4, with slight bumper damage to be repaired, total with the VAT came to just under £700... funny how an Insurance engineer will chip a job when he  want to get the price down to suit him, yet ramps it up to get a car off the road!

Yeah does seem stupid...

I think the bodyshop have priced it that way so they don't get the job OR that they know we were going to fight any descision that came to write it off... As it was them who came and priced the job up for the insurance company...

Volkskraft have quoted between £500 & £600 for it which still seem's excessive but they have priced for the drivers door to be blended in as well...

Just heard from the loss adjusters and they want to pay me £902.00 for the car and we keep it and get it fixed ourselves...

Car is NOT registered as a write off or a Cat C Or Cat D - Result!!

I can get the parts from TPS for about £140.00 or so!!

Yeah it is a proper bonus... Didn't know they could or would offer that as an option...

Volkskraft are doing the full job for £500.00 with Oem Parts etc...

Car came back yesterday.... NOT HAPPY....

2nd Hand Grille

Patten Wing... That stands 5mm off the door at the bottom...

Not a happy bunny... Battle will comence tomorrow!!!
