Car audio guru suggest me a setup...
« on: 02 October 2010, 17:28 »
Suggest me a set up as i keep browsing car audio direct and just cant decide what to get.

Car - EP3 Type R ( not a golf, sorry!)

Want -

1. 17cm components up front with tweeters in standard holders
2. 17cm Coaxial's in rear
3. Amp to power all 4
4. Probably some sound proofing, for the speakers and the road noise, lol
(will look into a sub at later date, would like to do a wheel arch install)

Output -

A good sound, but not shaking the mcflury out of the ladies hands at the mc donalds drive through at 2am in a saxo.

Headunit im using -

Budget -

Not sure really, dont want to over spend, yet dont want to waste money on extra cheap gear that is pointless.
Maybe £70-£80 on the components with tweeters will get a reasonable set?
Something a bit less for the rears
Whatever for an amp.

Would preferably like to order from Car Audio Direct as they have a huge selection, good forum discount and i have used them countless times this year with speedy delivery. Although can be swayed to other traders etc etc.

What do i get?!?!? HELP.

This may sound daft but as you keep talking about caraudiodirect have you asked on there forum www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb as your more likely to get an answer from other civic owners too and others use to working to your budget?
Mk6 GTI  &  Mk1 GTI
34 years of GTI ownership.

Talkaudio is great.

I've been on there for, Christ 7 years or so.

Talkaudio isn't the CAD forum. They were started by the same guy but are separate.
