My battery keeps going flat - why..?!

Well I left the car parked at Gatwick for 3 days and when I got in her yesterday she started first time so perhaps the lack of a long journey up til now is the problem behind this....I checked all the interior lights and they all go off with the lights.

Fingers crossed I don't get this problem again (although I now have a spare battery and some jump cables if it does..!)

Ok, after being left at Gatwick for 3 days and starting fine, I left her sat nite, sun day and evening and went to start monday morning at nothing, so I jumped her to get to and from work and last nite left the battery disconnected overnite. I re-connected it this morning and she started fine so the battery appears not to be at fault. The only thing I did different at Gatwick was take the stereo face out, so I did this at work today and this evening, she started fine...!

I can't think though that leaving at stereo face plugged in would drain the battery...?

also check the big earth strap from the gearbox to the chassis. I had this corrode on mine and was giving me starting problems. they're only a few quid.

Stereo can cause it to go flat, check how it is wired up, must have perm live going to the memory, and a live from the switch. Memory does not pull a lot but if the swtich one is perm then that can cuse probs
