Right then - Collection day.

Got woken up at 4am by the neighbours having a party - not impressed.

Go downstairs to find kitchen flooded from a now defrosted fridge freezer

Not a good omen for  car collecting. what is the third going to be

I soon find out, our lasses car has a MASSIVE vibration on it at crusing speeds  thankfully she doesnt go that fast

So to Lutterworth we go, arriving at the place to a VERY pleasant surprise. The piccies DIDNT do the old girl justice at all,

yes the whole car needs Mr Tona to come and sort it properly - but overall its immaculate for it mileage.

The bonnet is stonechip central but thats understandable.

One small dent in the NSR arch  ( same arch as the b3  )

big scuff on the NSF bumper but its been touched in and a few small scratches

Thats it.

Alloys are mint for their age  - all 5 of them  shod in michelin energy saver tyres :afro:

Interior is rip FREE, with VERY minimal wear on the bolsters.  :smug:

The drive is sweet as, no vibration, smooth pick up, and a lot quicker than the B3s

With no fuel on board i limped to the nearest fuel station, watching our lass dissappeaer onto the M69 going in the wrong direction

Then off to Bens I went to deliver some goodies and so Toph could see if any codes had appeared and turn some stuff on, others off  :undecided:

it then got discretely stickered  :lipsrsealed:

Next up was a Team Wagon photo shoot

So after saying thanks again to chris and ben for taking time out from Tuneside to go do the initial viewing / roadtest I headed for home the long way .

A mixture of A roads, dual carriageways and a blast down the M1 saw me return 35.9 mpg overall including some Autobahn Driving  :lipsrsealed:

Not bad i thought for a big old girl

So  whats next, a visit from Mr Tona - and THATS IT, maybe some not so discrete stickerage

Looks really nice mate. I'd be tempted by one of these in derv form but they hold their value well.

Agreed, looks great Chuff.  I was also looking at them in TDI form, but as Nick said, holding their value surprisingly well!

and before i get grassed up   :lipsrsealed:

I didnt do ANY checks on this car beofre buying - even my own recommended online ones  :lipsrsealed: I know

However it would seem i was lucky .

Mots are all good, one fail for a brake line and thats it.

Mileage is correct, being an ex avis fleet car it comes with a FULL print out of its service history .

and it seems to have had 3 easy years since it was sold off by avis

I blame the meet in Bristol for this......

It's been a long old road to get to it, mind.....
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
