was the manifold cracked or leaking from the shaft? calipers corrode in our wonderful weather, unfortunately its a case of sh!t happens when it comes to bleed nipples breaking. you can be as gentle as you like working it in and out with plus gas but when they're gonna snap they're gonna snap

Leaking from the shaft I think Toph    i got the old manifold in the shed and that looked intact

count yasen lucky, we are replacing gearboxes or main wiring looms after 25k

Dont think the MK4 hit me for a £900 bill in one go mind; well apart from the clutch but you expect that to need replacing.........

Crazy that. My cars 14 years old and callipers etc are all fine changed the handbrake cables and some more bushes, but that's about it really. Newer car reliability is shocking!
