Decided to put in the new BCM today and get all the wiring in so I am ready when the lights arrive.

The CAN connections were a complete nightmare and if I had know what was involved I probably would not have bothered.

The CAN module is behind the BCM and relays and there is just enough cable for it to connect to the module.
Getting this out and getting wires attached to Pin 16 and 6 was nearly impossible and my hands are cut to shreds

Done now, will rebuild the car up again tomorrow and hopefully all will be working

Edit: Just found out how I was supposed to access the CAN gateway, HERE

Just had a look under the bonnet and there is the access panel.. I'm sure my knuckles will have recovered in a week or so

^^^ Good work Mike, looking forward to seeing it finished

Let me know if you need any of the coding details from the AFS controller as I don't believe the codes will be in VCDS (if you have bought the latest version C controller).

If anyone is considering this had a look in the classifieds later today as I have some parts to go towards this conversion left over from the bits I got for my Tiguan

Let There be light again

Still need to get the AFS module coded properly but everything else working well.

The LEDs look so much better in real life as they are pure white..

Off for a beer now

Thanks guys, it took a while but I got there in the end.

Without the help of SteveP I would still be trying to get them working. I owe you a big favour Steve

I couldn't get the LEDs to light even after coding exactly as you had documented in the other forum.

Steve had sent me his original coding for his BCM so I just copied and pasted that into mine and did the LED coding again and all was well

I must compare the two and see what made the difference.
