just a few questions for you guys I'm wondering if it matters were the wheels go because i can see the weights on each wheel are different. Also I've been experiencing the car drifting to the left ever so slightly, from a little searching i have read people saying that its normal and it happens because the roads are naturally negative camber or something like that, should i get a wheel alignment (hunter set-up) done also possibly wheel balancing for all the wheels whilst I'm there anyway?

embarrassing questions aside :embarassed:

yes they are genuine BBS CHs, i got them a couple a days ago from Rimstyle.decided to take off the polished lip because i think it didn't look right.

yes i owned a mk5 1.4 Tsi 122 for my first car

Its the wheel / tyre combo that is balanced nothing to do with being on the car so perfectly normal for some wheels to have more weights than others.

Yes it might matter where the wheels go if they have directional tyres on them (the ones with the arrows). Swapping them from front to back is fine but swapping them from left to right might pose problems.

I'm sure there will be better info on the web than this but its the first I came across http://www.etyres.co.uk/glossary-tyre-terms?term=directional

Most roads I have been on have a camber so perfectly normal to pull slightly. However find a large flat carpark and try this. If its still pulling then you should maybe get the alignment checked. Balancing as far as I know would only affect any vibration through the steering wheel at speed and not affect any pull.
I'm sure I read on here about one of the new Audi's R8 wheel alignment being out from the factory!!

Are the BBS 18's? They look really nice. Is the polished lip not the rim protector? If so go careful. mate... you don't want to kerb those nice new alloys

You have certainly got the mod bug by the sounds of it.... a very costly buisness

I would think carefully about getting the wheel alignment done, it took me 7 attempts and three different companies before I got mine finally back to normal.

This was using the latest Corghi EXACT BlackTech 4 wheel alignment system in two of the places.

Twice they were trying to tell me it was a MK5 and not a MK6 although there is minimal difference between the alignment set-up parameters.
