Torque steer...
« on: 14 August 2003, 17:41 »
My G60 suffers from torque steer on hard acceleration. I has got 235bhp and is front wheel drive so i'm sure it is to be expected. Is there anything i can do to reduce this. The front suspension has been uprated and lowed, but this hasn't helped much.

Maybe fit an LSD in the gearbox.

Not a bad idea, i didn't think of that. A mate suggested fitting upgraded bushes to the car, have you ever heard of that?

It would be a good idea to fit powerflex bushes to the wishbones and maybe new balljoints whilst your at it, the ones on your car have probably seen a lot of work and are worn out by now. It is a G60 after all.

Let me know how you get on as I want to do mine on my 16V.

A set of Quiafe differentials on that will sort it right out and make it handle better too!
