dashboard removal

after some little scrotes decided to take my head unit they ahve left me with a totally ruined dashboard therfore i need to replace THE WHOLE THING, my replacement cane today and now im just curious about the removal/fitting of the new one, just wondering if there are any hidden screws or mounts that i need to be aware of and roughly how long it shoukd take me bearing in mind ive never done it before

Why don't you just replace the piece where the head unit goes? It can be removed separately and just takes a few minutes.

a bit of the actual dashboard that seperates the piece your talking about and the heater controls has been snapped out, the piece your talking about has been pulled out so the screw holes havent got any material for the thread to bite into anymore and there are just some general dents from the thiefs screwdrivers and a few cuts in the top of the dash whre they havent been careful, i could replace the smaller bit but it wouldnt sit properly or anything,

or i could just undo all the screws i can be bothered to see then tie some rope to it and then my dirt bike to the other end  :laugh:
