Looks a nice motor. :afro:

The other golf, with the Audi A3 rims..... quick question - What centre caps are on them rims?? standard audi ones?? I have the same rims on my gti but want some centre caps.... VW preffered... but they dont seem to fit very well.... Also are them audi rims running with spacers?? let me know.

yes mate, theyre audi centre caps, the alloys are running with 5mm spacers as the inner tyres were catching on the suspension and the bodywork had been worn away on the front of the rear arches but thats probably caused by the 55profile tyres tbh. nice alloys though

Very nice :afro: will look loads better lowered.

The other car is running tyres that are too big, 205/45/16 is the correct size.  :nerd:

i know wayne, at the moment theyre new tyres that were on when he bought the car, so hes gonna get some wear out of them, then change them for the correct size, as for mine, im just deciding on either coil overs or springs prob just a 40mm drop, not sure. do you know much about these redhot tuning coilovers? or are they too cheap to be any good? im doing the golf on a budget for now but dont want to change unless im going to see a difference in handling. and thanks for the compliment dude

do a search on Hot Tuning mate, loads of threads on it... very mixed views... they are cheap and cheerful.. some people say that are bouncy as fook and other say they are very harsh, pesonally i think they are not very well developed so it deponds on the car.  My mk1 being quite light my first impression is that they seem ok and very stiff but i am yet to take it for a proper drive.  if you just want to go down about 40mm i suggest you get a decent set of shocks and springs... depends what you're after overall..
