I know this is an old thread I made but its still relevant.

Ok I've found another good site, it will show more info than typing in your p-codes from your Options sticker VW/Audi/Seat/Škoda Option Codes Decoder

Just type in your VIN number, I'm afraid its French thats the only draw back. VIN search tool

You can copy and paste the example VIN number if you want to see an example. If you hold your mouse over the green colour code it shows you a car painted in that colour.

Now the French site doesn't translate the codes properly even if you use a translator but you can download VAG Option Codes List there are 12736 codes to search for the codes that are a true English conversion.

Hi,

Is there a place where I can look up VIN numbers say against a productionweek and cardetails.
I am waiting for my VINnumber since last weeks production, I actually should have received it by now.
So still no licenseplate.

I'm not sure why you want your VIN number before you've had the car?

Won't the dealer tell you?

I guess there's a chance your car has been stuck in a field for a year before sale so worth checking ... unlikely for a Mk6 GTi.  But there were several instances with the MkV GTi where old imports turned up at Motorprovider or was it Motorpoint ?
