yeah - wouldn't do it regularly, but probably ok for a once off.  You just need to clear the wax off so the sealant will "stick"

my mk3 looks like this after:

If you're going to do it properly, get a soft clay bar kit like this

Much better way to clean up any old wax & a load of other bonded on rubbish. It also leaves you a perfect smooth surface. Give it another wash, then do 2 layers at least an hr apart of whatever wax you go for (and the dodo range all come in small sample pots that'll do a good few cars, so you can try without spending much cash). Colly might last a bit longer, but the dodo rocks looks wise).

Its all in the prep. Definitely clay it all over, then polish with some decent stuff.

2 thin coats of Jetseal109 - (I used it for the first time this weekend, brilliant stuff, makes the car shine so much deeper)
Then top it off with a coat or two of Wax. I use Meguiars Techwax 2.0 and this is good, i get good beading, but AGHD should be ok. I have a mate who uses is on his Clio 172 and his beads loads!

Just done a full detail (clay, machine polish, AGHD to finish) on someones Clio CUP at the weekend and it came up like new! Lots of beading afterwards! Made my Golf feel very jealous!  :undecided:
