Went to a drift event today, so took a few pics! nothing special but thought i'd post them up!

What are you shooting on?

If it's an SLR, drop the shutter speed to 1/160 or even down to 1/80 and pan with the car as you shoot.  You should find you'll get a lot more motion blur and the car should be sharp as you've kept moving with it.  There's a more detailed panning guide stickied at the top of this section.

Yup using a d40, was using about 200 shutter speed, was really hard to follow the cars as i was shooting through an iron mesh. But il try droppin the shutter abit mroe today! Cheers for the info  :smiley:

Nice work, love the pop colour one......... scoby shot is greatoh and another fave is the fire breather!... whats with the car dragging a 4 cylinder head gasget!?  :laugh:
