Nothing like a new box ever so often. Works a treat. Those stick shifter lovers are jealous you can have a FOC box change.

Just out of interest am I in a position to reject the car seeing as though it has had such a major fault at such a young age ?

Nope as they are able to fix it.

An FOC box that wouldn't be needed if the simplicity of a manual and use of the left arm/leg were employed in the act of changing gear!

why dont you call VW Customer care and ask them ?

Hope you get your car repaired to your satisfaction soon and next time buy a manual. :grin:
