PLEASE HELP cuts out right hand bends

I do love her to bits but shes making me hate her! mk2 1988 gti 8v campaign helios blue
the car started cutting out when driving and would bump start itself right again. Only cold starts with a bump. All sounds pretty normal?

but get this it only cuts out on RIGHT HAND BENDS! if your going right on  a roundabout u have to steer right then left to get the power back! or if theres camber in the road it will cut out
Thought maybe new lift pump (fitted a mk3 gti tank and pump) no better.
checked fuel lines
new dizzy cap rotor plugs leads. no better

Any suggestions?

When I read that I thought that the pick up pipe in the tank must be wrong or there isn't a baffle around the in tank pickup to prevent fuel starvation?

Did this only start happening after fitting the mk3 tank? What sort of Mk3 was the tank off?

You can have a look down the inspection hatch under the rear seat to start with to look for anything obvious.

dose the rev counter register anything whne it's cut out ?

hi guys yes pickup pipe is fine checked it before fitting also checked new lift pump totally fine (off a mk3 gti 8v)
Yes it was doing it just the same before fitting thats why i swapped (got for a fiver lol)

The rev counter does read the revs when it cuts out. Its totally baffling us here :s

Gonna try coolant temp sensor next any ideas?

check the grounds and live to you coil pack. Sounds like you may have a dodgy earth somewhere...

reminds me of a fault my mate had on his xr2 years ago, it would cut out when you gave it some beans  . turned out the engine mounts were f**ked, starter wires were touching the body when the engine moved . check all your engine loom loose wires etc

just to add will only start off a reverse starter motor bump! have renewed main earth etc

telling me what rev counter did when it cuts out would have been far more usefull

The rev counter does read the revs when it cuts out.

also when it cuts back in often back fires.
