What is this and what do I need to get to use it? Or can it be removed?

Its a cradle for some sort of device, hands free for a phone?

That seems like the bluetooth phone cradle (factory fit). You have to buy an adaptor for your phone and put it there. Very old fashion.

It's the adapter for the factory fit phone kit.  You had to buy an additional cradle for your phone but the available cradles were so out of date, not even sure if you can still get them.

I had this kit on my car when I bought it.  I used it for a while as I had a Nokia 6230i so the dealer threw in a cradle as part of the deal.  When I changed phones I installed the Skoda bluetooth kit so the factory fit one became redundant.  I eventually removed it but you need a new glovebox as the adapter bolts through the fascia.  Glovebox is quite easy to change.

Yeah does look an isore! i removed mine, didnt get round to fitting new glove so just filled the holes with some inserts :smiley:

.......i think leaving it like that would have the same effect as the holder  :angry:  :cry:. I would have to get a replacment.

I can think of plenty better things to spend my green on :wink:

Although if i could pick up a replacement door for the right price then i would replace it! :smiley:
