Faulty mechatronic units on DSG gearbox
« on: 29 June 2010, 21:36 »
All,

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't this faulty unit only relevant to a specific production batch.

Didn't someone post up some time ago the date range and model/engine type applicable (teutonic tamer...maybe...?).

Mine is a March 2007 model and I was sure it was outwith the faulty batch.

Anyone with a better memory than me...?

Thank you,
Billy

Steve,

As per other post started this evening, gearbox appears to have jumped out of gear giving no drive at all...which could be scary/dangerous when exiting a junction.

Regards,
Billy
