They are quite a long way from me, but i don't mind a bit of a road trip after christmas, i'll just have to take some turkey sandwiches for the journey

Yeah, everything he mentioned in the description sounded like he wasn't interested in posting them at all!

I've been on the look out for a set of these wheels for ages.? I did find out that you can use BBS RX2s from a MK4 GTI, but they came with 205/55/16 tyres rather than the 215/40/16s from the mk3 anniversary wheels, so to keep the speedo reading correctly you would have to replace all four tyres before fitting the wheels to a mk3.

The good news is that the mk4 ones are much more common and a bit cheaper.

I don't know if there were any other differences.

I didn't realise that.  Hence the different tyre spec i suppose.

Owww indeed, i have tracked a couple of auctions on these wheels where it's just gone mad in the last minutes.  I think i got lucky with these ones.

Good luck with getting a set mate.  I think they would look especially great on a black car!

Mine got her MOT certificate and tax disc to start with then..

New windscreen (old one was speckled and couldn't see when sun hit it)

New plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm.

New thermostat

Front fog lights to fit tonight (big bumper)

Uprated headlight wiring loom tonight (can't see a thing on country lanes with single std lamps)

Mini-valet

New gearbox engine mount, front engine mount and replacement front engine mount bracket since I managed to clean snap mine in half :(

.... and a visit from home tune to get her running properly after being pretty much gutted and garaged for the last few months.

This weekend - oil/fuel filter and oil change and clean my air filter.

It never stops, I have a 8" widescreen lcd for the dash but it's slightly too big for where I want to put it... doh! out comes the dremel and some fibreglass filler.
