the youtube vid could have a distorted timeline but then again... http://www.fastestlaps.com/track71.html

the GP circuit is wayyyy more fun though, i get to try it for real soon hopefully

agreed, the gp circuit is amazing! just a shame its twice the price of the indy circuit on average.

the 16v's in the golf gti championship can get round in the 58's, and they are fairly standard (minus what type of dampers they have) compared to most track golfs. I would guess the reeves' would be sub 55s easy

I thought it was that Maurice Reeves before I even saw the video

Have you seen his red mk1?

made me seriously consider a 1.8t, but that engine has ££££'s in it.

There's a write up in one of my old Golf+ mags of the two of them.
no i havent but i'll defo have to look it up.. i bet a few £££ went into that mk2 aswell!
as soon as the mk1 was mentioned i looked it up and found the same vid... awesome car!

In fact iirc there's a link somwhere to a scanned in copy of said article. and there's a vid of the mk1 pulling 150mph+ uphill @ Spa
