Forge fmic fitted headlamp washer problem...

I fitted my Forge FMIC tonight, started at half 7 and finished at half 11 which I was quite impressed with. Not ao impressed with the gear from Forge but that's not the problem.... Everything went back in the end and the headlight washers worked but I drove 10 miles back from my mates and my washer bottle light came on, I brimmed it before I left. Has anyone else had this problem or can I disconnect them temporarily without taking off the bumper until I get a spare hour. Cheers

Id say its not plugged in, as the plug for it is right where you put the throttle body pipe, maybe you disconnected for fitment?

They still work though and we double checked everything. probably a leak or a split in the plastic coupling... Do you know if it can be disconnected from the accessible washer bottle?
The Forge kit was fairly gash! The crappy little grill had a broken clip on the right side and was really flimsy compared with the original and I had to cut a Little away from the back. Also had to cut a lot of the central grill and the rear of the bumper. It looks perfect and original now it's all back together with a couple of hidden self tappers 
also the pipes rub on bits and pieces like they did on yours as the marks are in the same place. And the crash barwas slightly mis-shapened compared to original. The only real difference with the new one is a support is knocked out and it has 2 brackets welded on. Finally I had to cut out the central crash bar support which in turn has made my bonnet slightly harder to shut.
None of these criticisms are aimed at you mate as it's you didn't design it, I'm glad I wasn't the one that paid almost £700 for it! Cheers again for it. I can't imagine what a universal one is like!

well mate you must of been fitting it wrong as mine got fitted in 2hrs, perfect fit and exellent quality, best £600 ive ever spent

It can't be fitted wrong as your governed by the crash bar and intercooler fixings

Finally I had to cut out the central crash bar support which in turn has made my bonnet slightly harder to shut.

you need to adjust the bonnet catch.. you get that every time with the forge kits. As ryan says i can get these on a car within 2 hours but i've never tried on a car with washer jets

Washer jet fitted cars just have a pipe that goes to bumper, you just route it around the IC pipe as it takes same route as standard.

I had a cut bonnet catch/bumper bar piece that i did for mine, meant to put it in, sorry i forgot, got a garage stacked of parts and forget what i actually have.

It's all good mate, not your fault. It took that long as I had to source some sheet steel and cut out and drill a bung for the map sensor, cut the central grill, side grill then mess about with the bonnet catch along with eating and having never done anything on this car by myself before  :embarassed:   I reckon I've bust one of the washer tubes I'll have a look tonight. All sorted now! The headlight washer clip was facingthr pipe so any vibration unclipped it, span it 180° and now it's fine. Lovin Forge again!
