I've been having a think!
My mate works for a Sony department and its closing down so there selling a couple of older tv's off cheap. There only 15"-20" which got my thinking, how hard could it be to install a TV into my car? 
Do you think it would be possible to mount a TV to the roof of the car which would flip down? just for back seat passengers  would imagine the wiring could just go from the roof strait down one of the A pillars and through onto the battery?

The TV had a built in DVD player

Give it a go you could always take it out.. Could you not have it mounted via pass sun visor?

should be ok as long as you have aux on ya head unit i no sumone who had a 32 in th eback with his boot build
only other thing to consider is that for the power to run it you may have to have an extra battery installed like you would for sound system

What i was thinking about doing was putting it on a runner down the middle of the roof. I would take the head lining out, weld a couple of metal bars to the roof with taped screw threads for the brackets to be mounted on then screw the running rails in, mount the TV on a flip down hinge and wire through the centre of the roof, and run wires down to the battery.

BUT saying that one bracket right above the centre arm rest would make more sence just for the rear passengers and would make wiring a hell of alot easier! Runners would just let me have the tele on while out with my mates lol

Think I'll stick to the 2nd option

If you weld to the roof would it burn the exterior paint off?
 Ive fitted 3 dvd flip downs screens to cars, I dropped the headlining then used No Nails/Tiger Seal to stick wood to the roof then put the headlining back and screw it in.
 I had this on my seat alhambra for a year with no problems, I ran the wiring down the A pillar.

Ermmmmmm am I the only one missing the point that this will be a 240v 13AMP fused powered TV. How are you going to power it as you car battery certainly wont.

i really wouldn't bother to be honest
you will need a 12v to 240v inverter which in itself will cause you problems as putting a 240 tv on a 12v system and playing it through your sound system it will give so much interference
personally all the money you would spend on the tv,the inverter,al the bracketing it would be probably be cheaper to just buy a proper in car roof mount dvd player
