FMIC Fitment !
« on: 31 May 2010, 20:47 »
Hi i bought a Pro-Alloy front mount off a guy on this forum because it looked like it fitted really well. I have now fitted this to my AUM same engine code as him but my fitment is completely different ive had to chop the front bumper about which i hate and he didn't. I wondered if there was a reason for this ? if he didn't have AC would of it had sat much further back ? The only reason i am asking is because i have chopped the bumper about and the bumper even though its on and bolted in place its not fitting right by the arch if that makes sense ? and the front valance was buckled (now cable tied into place for temporary fix) so i no its not on properly but i cant even see where its hitting no more lol...

Any advice would be much appreciated its a Pro-alloy intercooler for a A3 and a piping kit i believe for a mk4 golf. I want to move the intercooler back and fit the front grills again just for looks as not a keen fan on the pipes even though they look mean lol

oh lol i would love to put the R32 front bumper on it looks mint but they are well too expensive for me i think they going for about £350 and then if its wrong colour getting it sprayed too much money..

so far i have typhoon induction kit and forge 007p and this front mount what other cheapish mods are there they will give a noticeable difference apart from exhausts and a remap ?

sod the r32 front bmper get the US standard front bumper the come out alot further than the standard bumper, the intercooler should fit snug behind it!
