now i can see where you lot are going wrong, youve put all your money in the wrong places. (those out of work are excused) for example nice big shiney alloys, exhausts, and valances ect. the way to start should be to get it all serviced first, then all the small mechanical bits like bushes mounts ect.. thats why my car looks sh!te, but it works o.k lol
new shocks, rear axle bushes and front top mount kit arrives tomorrow and i have all of two weeks off work to play with to get it done, should get it done in a day as long as it all goes well...

I've had my Golf 9 months and spent a grand on mechanical stuff and maintenance. It's boring now lol.

I wanted a ko3s, downpipe, sports cat, TIP, another remap etc - the usual stuff, but to be honest sod it I'll live with 190BHP in the hope it'll stay reliable now and not fleece me any more coin!

Sometimes I wonder if it was worth buying... but to be fair all Golfs go wrong exactly the same so sod it :D

to be fair they are a decade old now and most of the bits mentioned are always going to wear, especially when modified. So really, the poor things are not doing too badly.

tbh, i got my last golf an it never was like this, only things i needed to do was get a new R32 rear bumper as the other was cracked, new front coilovers and wishbone bushes.

This car was serviced a week after i bought and again 5 months down the line. You treat them well and they just play up, you dont do owt to them and then have no problems.

just had mine back from jbs, needs new bushes all round, new steering rack, new dv, leaking coolant, new exhaust, cam cover leaking, new front disks and pads. not kidding i had an a4 page full. bad times

but places like JBS u expect they find huge list of faults just like the dealers .... if u go places like specialists or similar u most prob get an ADVISORY on it or they tell u how long tit will last before it needs to be change !

well unfortunatley my car is starting to fall apart. due to not working for 4 months i havent been able to maintain the car and now things just seem to get worse

First of, have a broken spring
then strut top mount
then front wishbone rear bushes
rear disc and pads need doing
front disc's need replacing

and now tonight then clutch start slipping.

god whens my luck going to change.

abouve u mention iis mostly the front running gear is better do it all at once than do it individually as u will needs tracking for the top 3 u mentioned !
