Would be a good idea to buy a set of these for rough winter use.
They really are as 'cheap as chips' and look pretty good too.
Good on you Gossa. What a find!

18x8 Tallydoodah reps, £300 fitted. They are actually lighter than the Monzas.  The only issue is offset/rim width as they stick out a bit at the front.
what offset are they? And where did you buy them!!!, im thinking those instead of BBS VZ's!

Nice wheels. Only £300 for fitting and wheels? Am I wrong?
But sorry Gossa, I prefer my Mona Lisas to your Tallyhoos. But this is my taste.
My favourite are the 19 inchers of Neil and Ess.
Congratulations anyway.

No that's right, £300 all in. I too prefer the Monzas and as said in that post there ^, I will be putting them back on after a refurb and a new set of Sessanta boots....

Lymington!!,15 miles just down the road from me

Im thinking Black versions would go well with our tornado's

I got a mate that will paint them for about £40 a wheel or I can get them powdercoated cheaper but the finish aint as good.

And £300 is about right for chinese reps in 18, they have got 19's as well for £400.

19's at £400 is well worth a punt, in gloss black finish though in my opinion

Hmmmm... I'm tempted to get a set of the 18's - have them powdercoated black - and get some winter tyres on them.

I wonder if winter tyres come down in price when its not snowing and theres no mad rush for them?!

My thoughts too  .... although I think I'd go for an anthracite grey for my Rising Blue

Gossa, can you tell me if the OEM VW center badges fit perfectly in the hole ?   or are they 3rd party VW badges on yours?

Cheers

The centre caps, badges and bolts were included too.  Good thing as the locking nut adapter won't fit in the bolt hole. On the offset I reckon these sit about 15mm further out than the stock wheels, rears are quite flush but fronts sit out a bit, bearable but not perfect.

So both the OEM VW bolts and centre caps won't fit ?

The E-bay ad says the 18"'s are ET 45,  which is only 5mm different from the ET 50 of the OEM VW wheels ?

Seems odd that they stick out so much further ?

The rims are 8" though not the stock 7.5". The OEM bolts fit fine, it's the locking adapter that is too tight to get in. That pic looks worse than it is because of the angle.

Cheers for the info & pic

I have 19" OEM VW Talladegas on mine and they are 8J x 19" :-

ET50
8Jx 19
5 x 112
Part No :- 5K0601025M  (around £540 inc. VAT for 1 wheel  )

The OEM tyres are also 235/35

Not sure what the OEM 18" Talladega width is

So an ET45 should make a 5mm difference on mine I think for the wheel  ?

You could always get a set of the little black plastic guards for your GTi that come with the R
