allready hve the slicks and tthe tr1's  thats why there my ony choices.

but a littel bird tells me that if you run slicks on trackdays the marashals are more anal than normal esp at coomb.  apparently you have tro have cage in and it be bone dry otherewise you can't play.

may be very tempted to just run with the toyo tr1's if the cage isn't in tho.    as marshalls do get upset with you overtaking in corners and thats where the syncro make's most ground and if allowed would overtake most stuff.   so thinking if i have  less grip i'll be slower but maybe more fun

"Cars fitted with slick tyres are only permitted subject to strict monitoring of driving standards"

This is stolen from Combes own trackday regulations. No mention of a cage needed. I know on the action days they won't let you out on slicks at all.

Tarmac rally tyres right? Seen some good reviews of these types of tyres although a lot of comments about them being hard to get well balanced being remoulds.

what are they?

have you got 2 sets of wheels? just take both sets along and use the toyo if slicks aren't allowed

i've got quite a few sets of 15" J7 rims in 4x100

if i drive there it'll be on the toyos  as they'll be he only road legal rubber i have.  tho quite likely to be a girl and dring it down on trailer.  if i'm allowed slicks they'll go on if not i'll kill the tr1's or wang them on if ive go them.

yup there tarmac rally tires.  as for getting them balanced they may need a few more weights but if there good enough for competitive rally cars and they use them they cant be that bad.   and the price diffence between them and r888's is proably the cost of a track day

What make are they? Maxsport or Indysport.

I've got the Indysport ones on a set of 16 inch wheels, 205 45 16 and they are good tyres. Only had then on twice due to the sh!t weather at last years track days. They stuck really well once warmed up. No problem getting them balanced.

I'm fairly certain that ears motorsport do one of the following two makes in 195 50 15 but their website is down at the moment.

No problem using these at Combe either because they are cut.
