Cheap loud induction kit? How to de-oil filter?

Zipped tied it around the alloy pipe with conductor touching pipe, to be honest, before it was hanging down, swinging in the breeze

best thing to do with it is to make up an aluminium heat sink and mount it somewhere securely.
i have aslso considered dropping my piper x panel filter and swap for a cheapo ebay filter.. not sure if it would be the wrong thing to do though..

If you like sound of engines, its definately the right thing to do, sounds amazing the turbo spooling up so loud.
Cone filters make impressive grunt too.
If you really like the noise, remove sound deading from bonnet too

i haven't moved my battery over at all.

and before people say you get heat soak because its alloy blah blah blah you dont! 

+1 Barry, makes me laugh when people pay £200 for a Carbonio, just becasue its carbon fibre doesn't warrant the price, plus it comes with a "no brand" special filter (like the eBay version).

Exactly mate, worth a try and you can always sell it on if you don't like it 

Like i said its been fine for 2 years on my car but its only real shortcoming is the cheapo rubber connector and SAI pipe they supply - something you can always upgrade for a little extra 

As for me wanting to replace my filter i'm sure whatever filter you have fitted down there ain't gonna last forever given British winters (and summers for that matter!!)

I fitted one of these to mine today (AUM). How did you guys fit the silver adapter to the secondary injection pipe? I couldnt get it to fit onto the pipe. It looks a tad too small.

Does it not connect to the blue silicone hose they sent with CAI?

It does but i couldnt get the other end onto the secondary air pipe? Just wondering how you guys did it.
