Funny you say that mate

I haven’t been on here in a while lots of things going on and been away to Poland to snowboard over the New Year but I’m back now so can kind of update this! couple of weeks ago went down to R-tech to get the ol' girl remapped, turned up at Adams house and he kindly fault read the Bora ... 13 fault codes popped up   a lot of them we things like removing coil packs without disconnecting the battery first etc... the more important ones however were that the front right ABS sensor was broken, it has a boost leak somewhere, the temp sensor was broken and oh yeah the camshaft timing sensor  so we cleared all the codes and about 9am we fuelled up with bacon butties at Mc Donald’s and started the journey! on the way down realised the temp gauge was sitting about 60/70 then going up to 80 then back down to 50 and so on

Got to R-tech they did the stage one map but then said they wouldn’t be able to put her on the RR as the timing is out and could potentially mean that I could need another engine lol. It was a fun drive back home even though it was in a blizzard, totally different car now! Took the car back to the mechanic that did the engine swap/cam belt change etc and left it with him, to do the timing, clutch slave cylinder and the few sensors that needed changing! Got a phone call yesterday and he said the ABS sensor was fubar that’s been replaced, the temp sensor and thermostat have been replaced, also the clutch slave cylinder has been done, he apologised about the timing and said that he holds his hands up that the timing was one tooth out. R-tech had said that you need to be careful when tensioning as it can jump a tooth. So just waiting on a phone call to say I can pick her up!

Picking up an armrest tomorrow or at the weekend as my dad broke mine, lol, that’s about it for now! :afro:

Got the car back and she's pretty lively now she's all timed up properly

Collected the genuine arm rest and im really happy with it!! You can feel the difference in quality between genuine and that tacky ebay one and it fits perfectly as apposed to wobbling about like the ebay one haha. Luckily it blends into the interior as well, oh and it was only 40 notes  :afro:

My mate has fitted an anni valance to his Golf so I took the 4mo valance off his hands, needs a little modding to fit it by cutting a few tabs off but its in excellent condition and im fed up of scraping the cupra splitter so it will do for now

Also de-blinged the bay a bit
