My ex police astra mk4 died at 114k.
My golf gti is still going strong at 160k.  Even after thrashing at a track day.
My golf feels a lot quicker and a lot sportier.  Its slightly less fuel efficient but it'll be worth it when other mk2s flash their lights at you.
Get the Golf.  You won't regret it.

I definetly will get the Golf now, its just waiting for my Astra to sell. My Astra is a real nice car, dont get me wrong - Smooth, but I just want a Golf!!!!

you got this car now? keep seeing an identical car to your sig flying around Yeovil, if it was you or your Mrs, then my step Daughter was waving at your Mrs/wife/mum the other day thinking it was her mum lol

Yea, probably around Yeovil, around McDonalds and/or through town. My mrs cant drive, but she may of been in it!

Whoever said they don't lose power then they definitately do - All engines do, standard procedure.

I've done a sh!t load of work to mine and only seeing 117.4 - People seem to think adding a cam equals 10bhp, then an exhaust, add another 5bhp - then a filter, add another 2bhp is just bull crap - Just so you know :afro: Lol

It all works and adds up but only if you drive a Honda and sit in car parks talking bout how the "modified intake" gives it ten more brake  :grin:

I would never splash out cash just for 5bhp more, if I would ever spend money on horsepower upgrades I would just stick another engine in there!  Here she is, outside my house =]
