Golf .:R Side Skirts
« on: 09 April 2010, 13:50 »
Doing a bit of Friday afternoon dreaming on MK6s...as you do!

Anybody seen a MK6 GTI with R side skirts or got any plans for this?  Think they would work well on a GTI and blend with the bumpers.  And maybe the rear diffuser painted gloss black too for good measure.

I dread to think what VW would charge for them considering what they charge for the R.

I would leave your GTI the way it is, the GTI in my opinion is the better looker of the two and the only thing I would change on the GTI would be to get the LED rear lights.

I think the sideskirts are one thing that the GTI is missing which it should have.
I can imagine the R ones costing a fair bit... plus painting and fitting.
Maybe there are some aftermarket ones that look the same but cheaper.
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.

Agree with the first bit of that but going the cheap body ebay special route is asking for trouble. As the old saying goes, buy cheap, buy twice.

My thoughts exactly.  Anyone able to look the price up on ETKA?

Is that £345 for both including painting and fitting ? If so, I might get them.

Group buy, group buy !

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.
