Hi there GTI Edition 30 information required

Hi there,

New to this site but very keen on GTI'S had 4 different models over the years however @ present have a 150 GT TDI good on fuel  :wink:   however have been thinking of changing / buying an Edition 30 GTI.
Would be grateful if anyone could advise on the preferred colour and spec (additional extras ...... sat nav, xenon’s, etc) or are the factory standard options sufficient I realise this can be down to personal choice however some options help when it comes to re-sale time? I like the red color but my good lady likes metallic black or white  :rolleyes: not that much of a difference  :grin:
What would be the going rate for a good low mileage car privately and not from the dealer?
sorry if I have posted to much in section but have to make a start somewhere.... looking forward to helpful feedback

ED30 Is a fantastic car to drive and own! my brother has a metalic silver, with xenons, cruise etc!

It all depends on your budget really!?

He paid £17k for a 57/08 plate (3year old) with 30k on the clock! that was with a main dealer though!! part-ex too.

You can probably pick em up a fair bit cheaper if you look around!

Try posting in the mk5 forum, theres quite afew guys on there with ed30's, they would be able to point you on the right track, always one or two on for sale there every now and then!
