turbo problem??

nah i havent tried it with the maf unplugged, that went before so i know what thats like an its different. ill go out now, start the car up an pull the coils off one at a time wearin some hugely thick rubber gloves lol if i dont return, who wants all my porn??

topher, do u mean actually pull the coil out or just unclip the wiring off it?

just the loom plug will do yes.. less chance of a jolt that way

right, i take 3 of them off an no change yet i take one of them off an it gets even worse so im guessin that one is down? i only unclipped the wiring as u said

there should be no change when you unplug the dead one..

3 dead coils would be unlucky

sorry if i was unclear, its runnin lumpy like its missin......and i unplug the first one, no change, unplug the second, no change, unplug the 3rd one, it gets worse, so i put it back on, it gets better then i unplug the final one and no change. so im guessin the 3rd one is fcuked?

No dude only working coils will make it worse when unplugged.. broken ones make no difference when unplugged. Find it hard to believe the car runs on one cylinder though

i know what your sayin. even a 3 cylinder would struggle on 1 lol. thanks for all the help mate, ill whip it round to my guys garage tomorrow an he wont charge me to look at it ill get it sorted. ill let u know what the problem was. thanks toph

See if it will tick over ok with the MAF unplugged. If it does you could well have a boost leak.
Mine would tick over and run ok with the MAF unplugged al be it down on power and this was becasue of a boost leak.

thanks for the help lads. went round my local german tuning garage, got it on the ramps, went an sat down an he come back in 10 mins later sayin it was the coil pack and he had already changed it an i owed him £49 squids. job done. thanks alot. gotta love the forum help!!!
