just starting smoothing my rear end on the mk3, and it looks really cool. just thought id tell everyone. now it could be a vr6 or gti and nobody will know its actually a 1600! haha proper in love with the golf atm

p.s. VR6 JOE am i right in thinking that once you said that a engine cover from a modern polo will fit ontop of the 1.6 engine? im sure i remember you saying something like that, just wanted to tidy up the bay a bit!

What bits are you smoothing??
And yea a Polo 6n engine cover fits but you need the brackets too

, im gonna source that bit as it looks sick. as for smoothing, took the golf badge off the right hand side of the back just to the right of the boot, taken the VW badge off the boot and getting that welded and getting the wipers taken off! im finally getting some progress made on the car at last, just really want that polo bit, how much do they cost from the dealers? altho i may try and find it from a scrappie!

Don't know mate, mine cost me £15 from my local VW breakers, which is where I now work! lol

You'd just need to find the brackets!
