I wouldn't use VR6-Joe as he is a dodger. Selling "genuine" all red rear lights when in fact they are just extremely poorly red tinted 8v lights that no one would put on their car in a month of sundays. Even when asked directly are they genuine, he lied. Then refused to answer PM and or emails.

Just my experience. Plus he says he's a "mk3 man", so would look elsewhere for your mk2 spares.

Re doing sunroof lining is easy enough to do, just fiddly.

I can send you a guide if you PM me

cheers all

I am going to get the car into my mechanic and get everything changed, engine/gearbox oil, diff, cam belt, brake fluid, radiator water, PAS fluid etc for piece of mind.

The car is my mrs and she will be the main driver, so if you see her around give her a wave.

Found a few more problems, bloody old cars lol

Just passing on my experience. Ultimately if you need to use VR6Joe then good luck to you, hopefully he won't take the money and send you tat.

Yup but imagine what condition the equivalent aged astra/sierra etc would be like

Good luck with the ovehaul.

Cool, just, as previously stated, that was my experience. He's your friend and you've never had a problem with him, that is your experience.
I buy and sell alot of parts on this forum and others, ebay etc and aside from him and one other I've never had a problem.
Not saying anything I haven't said to him and would happily say face to face were the oppertunity to present itself.

Cheers for the welcome people, loving the oaks as well.

The car is back home now, drove home perfectly.

Just need to sort the headlining if the chap above can help, excelent.
Clean her up, and a few little cosmetic things to make her look 100% correct.

Pics at the weekend will follow.

PS love the vert M3 above, was tempted to buy her one of them but two of them with the kind of running bills you get would not be a good idea lol

I do love mine to bits tho, do you find the golf very slow in comparison?

Yes much slower, but there are different reasons to love both.
