I simply don't understand why he is bothering as it is not going to work.
A total waste of time and energy.

If done properly it does work. I would imagine the plastic fascia would have to be cut though.

A total waste of time and energy.

I had 2 different car kits in my MK5 - an Alpine one and a Parrot one... both with the Mic in the light assembly, and both with crystal clear quality.  I don't want to see my Mic, hence why I am going to try.  IF the sound is rubbish, then I'll move it.
Fiscon have 2 sets of instructions - one showing you how to do it, and another saying not to do it.  Odd!
As the Fiscon kit uses a 3.5mm jack on the end of the mic, you could probably buy a better mic and fit it if you really wanted.

Still a waste of time and energy!

Almost as big a waste of time as trying to retrofit xenons when you could have paid for them out of the factory

Catty!
Not quite.
I checked this before deciding on my options. £700 cheaper!
Anyway, I might not bother.

A bit like your reply then.

Is it so hard to understand that I don't want the microphone on show?

I still dont have a clue how you can get it from the roof to the back of the headunit.

If your sitting in your drivers seat, look up, you see the lights. so you feed the cable down to the left hand side till you get to the doorframe, it goes down there ? down to just above the pedals then up to the back of the headunit ? Thats the only way I can work out, and I'll be a jocks auntie if I can workout how to feed that through there.

Mine isnt a Fiscon, but a wire is a wire

So...from the headunit feed the wire to the right through the gap, take it accross the back of the dash to come out in the fuse box area. feed it up the right hand  A pillar trim, accross the front of the headliner (tuck it in) and if you`re careful you can prise the headliner down just enough to feed it accross to the light switch.
Going begind the dash and going from the front of the headliner to the light is where I used my `fishing line` I mentioned earlier.

Have you fitted your Fiscon yet Kev?  If so, where is the mic just now?
Like I said earlier - give me 2 weeks (hopefully) and I'll do you a step by step idiots guide with pretty colour pics
