Is your car an import?

My Ed30 is UK main dealer and has MFSW and has no toggles on the RHS stalk as far as I'm aware?

Strange. I've sat in different Golfs incl diesel, GTI, ED30 all with/without satnav and they all had the right hand stalk in the above picture. This is irrespective of whether there is midline or highline fitted and irrespective of MFSW.

I'd ask the dealer about it.

Hi - The car is definitely not an import. Checked the manual and noted the following differentiation;

Before diagram of the windscreen wiper lever showing button A and rocker B;

"Applies to vehicles with multi-function display , navigation system or supplementary heating system, WITHOUT multi-function steering wheel"

Then before diagram of multi-function steering wheel;

"Applies to vehicles: with multi-function display, navigation system or supplementary heating system WITH multi-function steering wheel"

So nothing to worry about then..  :smiley:

Assuming you do find out how to change the display. Have you tried pressing all the buttons on the wheel?...

The circle with the line through means 'average'. There are 2 trip computers: No.1 is for your current journey (resets 2 hrs after switch off) and No.2 is total since manual reset.

Your display is showing the average mpg since it was last reset. You normally reset with the hidden button on the underside of the wiper stalk (but you say you haven't got one.) Until you reset, this mpg figure will not change much. You will also be able to bring up other info, like average speed, miles to empty tank etc.

Hi DJ GTI - per my previous post I have worked out how to do everything using the buttons on the steering wheel now.
I have found the other stats as mentioned and now know that a reset of the average MPG is done by holding down the OK button on the steering wheel.
Definitely do not have any button on the underside of the stalk....dont need one either.

Cheers Mark
