mk5 help
« on: 15 March 2010, 11:33 »
Hi I am looking to fit a standard mk5 unit with an audio output in the glove box. I want to hook up a hard drive and/or and ipod. What options would I have? Thanks, Nick

Not quite sure what you're after, but if you're looking at an RCD300 (from a mk5), then IMHO, don't bother. They're sh1te. My mate's mk4 GTiTurbo Diesel has a fantastic OEM unit. We're just putting a Parrot 3200 on it for additional audio inputs etc.

Don't know if that's what you're trying to do, but also to put the RCD in there is an audio/aux input, but you've got to get it coded IIRC.

Hope this helps in SOME way

Ahh

Yeh, my point still stands then. I've attempted to live my my RCD300 for 10 months. It's coming out at Easter - got something nice to go in there

They make great door wedges though!

Yeh, sorry 'bout the note - don't normally do that type of thing! Just saw the sticker and my 6-yr old said" that's that website you go to"!

When you getting the mk5?

Dan
