what is considered acceptable delivery mileage ?

Personally I will be looking for single figures when collecting from the dealer.

Would say 100 miles on it be acceptable ?

Pom mate,

I worked through the checklist yesterday at my dealers, he was fine about it and we had a laugh and a joke about it.  He left me alone for 15 minutes while I carried it out.

As for mileage, mine had 8 miles on the clock.

Mk6, 3dr, DSG, DBP.

Mine will be driven down from Telford to London on the 22nd March. At least 150 miles on the clock! Could not face the journey to and from Telford myself.
The transporter would have cost £250. Refused to pay.
Hope the driver does not can it. He is supposed to be one of their 'Dad's Army' ex police drivers!
