Rear GTI Turbo Badge
« on: 11 March 2010, 20:46 »
My 2003 Rear GTI badge is all chrome coloured. Should the "I" be red?

I'm wondering if its had a new boot lid at some point...

If it has a red "I" it means it originally came with a flux capacitor. They are quite pricey to replace, so keep an eye on it.

The ones without the red paint on the 'i' are also lighter, VW did this to save weight

I did try the search before posting. I didn't find anything so thought I'd post a simple question.

I am not concerned with what badge should be on it - just wondering if it backs up my suspicions that its had a new boot lid or its been painted....
