warranty

Ey up fellas,

This is my very first post so i don't know if ive done it right. A main dealer "extended" warranty should be a prety safe bet, defanately better than a off the shelf one. i bought mine through work (i work at audi so i imagine its the same warranty) as a trade in. it was exactly 3 years old and i had a one year warranty put on mine. Obviously it wont cover everything a manufacture warranty will, but as i said there a safe bet.

The only thing that would worry me is the fact its only 3 months.

When I brought my 05 GTI from a main stealer, I got a one year extended warranty free of charge, it just came with it. It has done me well so far as I needed the driver’s side electric window motor, and some sort for sensor replaced, all done under warranty, at a different stealer nether-the-less. Rules must be different across the board??

I was worried about buying from a VW main dealer which is 4 hours away from where I live, am I right in saying that the warranty is on a national basis, or should iI be looking more towards my local dealership?

A main dealer warranty is national and will be covered at any main dealer
