Ive done the full conversion myself

That being the keyword. If your not mechanically sound enough to do it yourself its quite expensive labour wise to get it ALL put in.

Thanks mate.

Im VERY tempted to get someone to try and do a decent job of this, trying to get to as close to OEM as possible.

I dunno though, I dont want it being a piss poor job where the alignment shines up and pisses everyone off.

Thats the easy part mate, get the xenons fitted then get a garage to line them up to normal operation,  then once the levelers are fitted get them done again that way you can drive round without the levelers until you get them fitted.

Thats what most people have done upto now.

As well as light scatter, aftermarket HID's in reflector headlights will always look, well, aftermarket.

There is a Mk5 Golf that I see around here with them. I was next to it in my Passat (with a HID conversion) the other day. The Golf's headlights looked like big blobs of bluish tinted glare, where as my projector lights had a sharp, focused almost piercing stare. Just like OEM xenons.

As said before, HID main beams will react too slowly, and what about your DRL's? As for foglights, they will be more likely to light up the fog rather than the road below it.

I don't usually agree with you, but in this case your top tip is spot on.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Dan,

I would be interested in those aftermarket xenons, but when and how do the LED's light up,

I have xenons as some may already know and have no issues with blinding others. Although I am constantly looking for OEM xenons, seen a set on eBay lastweek, but guy ended the auction early
