My website
« on: 22 February 2010, 22:14 »
Well about a year after starting it, my photography website is finally presentable. I've got sections planned to show my automotive photography and storm chasing antics but they won't be done for a bit so it's just landscapy type stuff for now. Let me know what you think...

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

It's too tall, I'm on 1280*1024 and you're scrolling down to see all the images in the grid, and the text on the bottom of the front page; so I'd change the grid size for the gallery, so that it fits in the screen.

Throw in lightbox for the fullsize previews, you're on classic asp so that's just a simple change to the string on the data repeater.

your pager control doesn't work, as in every page shows 4 pages

you might want to look into search engine optimisation, as your header is an image, so nothing will currently pick that up.

The photos look good though

love the photography :afro:

the site I am not too keen on some of the nav/page layout... think it could be a lot simpler - but it does the job :)

One thing I would do is add a Blog.

Thanks for the feedback/comments guys.

Ridg - some good points there, specially about the size of the gallery. I need to have a catch up with my web dude and sort some of this stuff out.
