Before you criticise me for bringing this subject up, I know it's been done to death and I've already used search to find any info I could. Seems some of you hate the idea but some like them.
I'm going to have mudflaps fitted to mine before I take delivery, to protect the paintwork and reduce road dirt on sides of car.
In the pics I've been able to find the mudflaps don't look too bad, in fact in a certain sort of way they look quite good, but the pics didn't show the mudflaps all that well. Does anyone have any good pics of a MK6 with mudflaps fitted?
Mine is carbon grey so they won't stand out too much anyway.

My GTI is carbon grey and I like mudflaps in general, you know, extra protection and all that. So I decided to fit VW's flaps to mine in the autumn. Now, I know you were not looking for our opinions when you posted, but I have to tell you that they looked SO ugly that I only got half way through installing one and abandonned the whole idea, took it off and returned the pair to my dealer's for a refund. Just remember that if the weather is that bad that you will need flaps, then they aren't going to make much difference: the whole car is going to be filthy

My GTI (at the dock in Emden at the mo) is going to have mud flaps put on them.. I had a nightmare a few years ago on a silver motor I had (my golf is also silver btw) when I drove over freshly laid tarmac (unfortunately I couldn't avoid it!) and it made a right mess.. took hours getting it off ..

I have managed to blag them FOC mind..

In Victorian times they used and re-used a pig's bladder.
Took quite a bit of skill to make and use.
I should know, I was there!
Ugh

I am going nuts waiting for the car.
I am really not myself anymore or anyone else for that matter!
Once I get the blooming car, I am sure I will calm down and use more modern methods!

The darlings are in the oven being cooked very slowly for extra tenderness and taste and for consumption later.
No Reg plate yet. Just the pork chops on the plate for now!

Think i'm putting a set of fronts on my car. Doubt if i will fit them to the rear as i think the rears stand out too much.

Fitted Fronts only to mine a couple of weeks ago, looks ok

I dont think Fitting the rears will do a lot at keeping the arse end clean, and not really serve much purpose
