eh? customer service about what?

i think the r-tech map sounds like good value for money. i wasnt aware they also offer switches. for me it wasnt the right choice at teh time because you look at R&D etc. Nick is only just now tapping into the market so may be a contender in the future. im no revo fan boy and did a fair bit of research as you know steve but felt at the time they offered me what i wanted as i said earlier.

at the minute i feel that revo are the biggest and most reliable tuner of the TFSI but who knows RTech could be up there in the future so i wouldnt rule them out.

Going by this

http://www.r-techpower.co.uk/r-tech-producs.php

Its £285 and I then think there is a £40 mobile mapping fee on top

Best thing to do is to phone them and speak to Nick / Ben / Chris

So Nick..... are they eccusing  you of copying their maps in which case performance would be near identical to whoevers map youve altered?

Trial maps are not the full map, only around 70% of output, and not the full fat version.

Nothing about maps, just reputation.  Can you remember the back to back rolling road test with a well know tuner last year, We was going to test our 1.8T map against another tuners map on the dyno.  At the last minute I get contacted by the other saying it cannot go ahead. they spen £XXX of money each year to keep there name at the top of the game and cannot afford for a shoot out to tranish the reputation.  I got told they had good lawers which can put a stop to it. Plus they would do the same to one of your customers car, run it up with our map on the car then remap it to the MAX then publish the results.   Big fish little fish.

Its down to personal taste IMO.

If its torque spikes your wanting with your maps then we are NOT the company for you. I can see why your car feels quick now. 50lbft of torque spike will give a really nice kick up the backside and make you grin.

or

or

3 tuners with all simlar mapping methods that sell well and are good maps, BUT NOT to everyones taste. and thats where we fit in and fill the gap in the market.

I come from a motorsport back ground and the way I have trained to tune cars is to offer the power smooth, strong and safe. Usability makes a good remap.

Here is one we mapped on the dyno last year, not massive bags of torque at the top end of the scale, just a long broad torque band which make the car just pull and pull right up to the red line.   If it is smooth linear mapping you want then come to us, because we will get it right every time.
