new rad

where would you buy a new rad from? tried euro parts but they have nothing, GSF seems to be the only seller?

I've just bought a new rad this week from GSF in Manchester for mine, was about £45 quidish (88 'e' cab gti). I know that they have variants of these rads as they originally gave me the wrong one, mines the 535mm and they gave me the smaller one.... possibly the 1.6? 

Have you called GSF? as their website can be a little funny.... found mine online though

found one on gsf online and it seems to be 67 quid + vat

there is a seller on ebay who does rads got me a 16v rad with same spec as genuine

I know I wasn't charged that mate!. Just found the invoice (I say found it, Twas on the table in front of me ) mine was part number 17332, GSF NO 173VGO180, MRP £128.33 They charged me £42.25 + VAT. I did kick off a little as I had to go back to them for the second time that day due to them giving me the wrong parts, don't know if they applied more discount because of their mistake(s). Also I am a member of MK1 owners club so I get a 10% or so discount from there anyway.

Probably worth a phone call and ask them for a discount on the quoted price, if yours is the 535mm then they can do it for the above price.... if you don't ask .....

mine will need a 430mm as its a 1.5. will check out the ebay seller

Just checked the other invoice from the table the 'credit' for the incorrectly supplied rad (really need to take this upstairs me thinks) The incorrectly supplied rad was Part no 17333 GSF No 173VGO190 MRP £79.50, they invoiced me £38.50 + VAT

This rad is the 430X320mm
