I've got the switch Froggy, never used it though but might switch it to stock bhp for service visits. You can completely immobilize it if you're going on holiday, or staying in Peckham.

Did I not read somewhere that you got a good deal because it had been sitting in the showroom for 3 months - or am I imagining that?  If so, I would very much doubt you'd have the XDS.
GTDs built from Build week 45 (start November) have the XDS so it depends i guess.

Snoops , the car was in the showroom from the 28th NOV09, so could it have the XDS on it?  Thanks Steve

Thats going to be pretty close since it takes about 3-4 weeks for the car to arrive after build!
It might be worth checking with the dealer?
It'd be pretty gutting if you've missed it by a couple of days.

That depends. It can be ready for customer collection as soon as a week and a couple of days after the build week, VWuk quote 5-10 days shipping. The rest gets took up by port/port/reg/delivery/PDI/customer.

Still considering this.

There the faster wheels  Less corner weight improves handling, steering feel & kickback.

Steve:
Don't worry if you don't have XDS. Really.
The GTD does not have enough poke to activate it!
Anyway, you got a good deal, so be happy.
Your car will still look fabulous and no one will know whether it has XDS or not: unless you tell them!
Looks like XDS might be another useful thread for GTD owners!
