The thing is 0-60 times meen jack sh1t. Unless your a drag queen paxo driving traffic light racer. Its ingear times for everyday use that count and in that regard theres not alot of difference.

Thought I'd just contribute a set of performance figures taken from Volkswagen Driver magazine:

No , I dont maen it like that , I wont be makeing any money from it , all i'm saying is if someone wants my order they can have it, and even chnage the spec??

If the date is now a 'confirmed' date on DIALOG, Ie its 'locked for production' by the factory you cannot change options as the factory is actually picking the parts for that car for production. If it simply has a provisional build week thats unlikly to change as its getting near to been locked then you can change options.
If its still build week 9 as its the start of week 6 on Monday i suspect its locked/confirmed or will be very very soon.

No need to bite, we already know the GTD is faster slower*, this case is closed.

* small print, unless in traffic as the GTD will be faster as it has to stop less for fuel.. Or ingear overtaking as they are quite close..

what is a bit amazing to me is that it takes the GTD over 5 seconds to get to 80 mph from 60 according to those figures posted.

But I have accepted that the GTD is faster. The 0.1 benefit from 30-50 mph is the clincher, we simply must not take into consideration that we need to get to 30mph first as when we get into our cars we start at 30. and when we get to 80 mph the GTI has built up a 5 second lead. And when we hit 150mph in the GTI the GTD hitting 140 will do nothing but trail behind. BUT I have to conceed defeat, well done GTD. You animal.

Any one intrested in buying GTI build week confirmed 9 , so should get the car late March 2010. PM me. as I have just bought a GTD will be picking it up on 1/03/10. If you are serious about the sale get intouch with me and I will put you through to the dealer!! Just been out again for a test in the GTD loaded up with extras , (all ive got say is its an awsome car deal done)  This was my order rather than wait on long waiting list get intouch??

Fact: the GTi looks better than the GTD and the R. Even the dealers say so!
