Yet another issue

Thought I'd treat the golf to a wash and good polish today as the sun is out, but just noticed plenty of bubbles on the paintwork since the ice and snow. The paint is only like 5 months old and was a "professional" job. Proper p!ssed off about this, bubbles of various sizes seem to be in most areas of the car, is this caused by bad preperation or dodgy paint?

I would say this is down to bad preperation. Take this back to the paintshop and show them, if they're decent guys - they'll rectify it.

The guy isnt decent at all, I took it back twice because of pitting and orange peel kinda stuff. they never answer the phone and there seems to be nobody down the unit for weeks at a time so I wonder if they are in hiding lol

Just got off the phone to the bloke, which is a surprise.

He says if its something they have done wrong then he will sort it. He did say though that if it's anything to do with the old paint underneath then its nothing to do with him. I thought this was a bit strange cus I have photos of it with no paint on the bonnet at all when he was doing it....

Its going down to him next monday so will find out whats caused it then. My mates Alfa 155 Q4 had the same problem and it turned out to be moisture in the paint apparently, the ice was causing it to expand inside the paintwork and blister.... apparently. I dont know alot about paint, is this possible?

got any pics of it, this happened to my dads old mondy a few years back, started bubbling, then all the paint was flaking off the bonnet

I have only got an N95 as a camera at the minute mate as I managed to lose my camera lol

The bubbles are actually quite small but there are alot of them in certain areas, on closer inspection it seems to be more on the wings and bonnet. Will give it a ruddy good clean today so I can have a closer look, it is proper filthy lol

na, no job = no car lol, i'm tempted to get a mk2 instead, not sure really
